New Titanfall 2 Pilots Gameplay Trailer, Plus System Requirements

Sure, Titanfall 2 celebrates its Titans, the towering robotic extensions that players have to control to eliminate alien as well as human enemies. But what about the Pilots? Well, the new gameplay trailer for Respawn and EA’s upcoming tactical first-person shooter game gives us an ample look at those who are really behind all the action.

In the new video, you can see the Pilots facing all the action and totally owning the scene at the beginning where we can see them navigating through narrow cave-like structures and killing their enemies. The Pilots in Titanfall 2 are fast and agile, going by the new trailer. The creators of the game have described their Pilots as: “The apex predator of the Frontier, Pilots are what all riflemen aspire to be – highly skilled, incredibly mobile, and deadly at any range.”

And that is exactly what we see them doing throughout the video, demonstrating their Tacticals, or special abilities, in all their glory. Because the trailer is concentrated on the Pilots, you can see that most of the combat displayed happens on the ground. Players can run along walls as Pilots, as well as double-jump and even hover for a time to cover long distances quickly. All in all, the Pilots are capable of causing some serious damage on their own. But the Titans, which act as a mechanical extension of the Pilot’s own body, are not entirely absent from the trailer. The Titans will be slower than the Pilots owing to their gigantic size, but they will pack in all of the Pilot’s action when one is inside them with increased strength and greater endurance. “Titans are lethal weapons wrapped in armour and designed to take a punch…or a sword…or a rocket. Individually, Pilots and Titans are a serious threat. Together they are unstoppable,” say the creators about what happens when the two lethal forces team up.

Titanfall 2 will feature both single-player as well as multiplayer campaigns. In the single-player mode, the player will begin as a Militia rifleman who will team up with a veteran Titan to get through his mission. The multiplayer mode, on the other hand, will give players access to six brand new Titans, a significant number of Pilot Tacticals, and new maps among other things.
